Mixed Math Worksheet Generator
Generate printable mixed-operation worksheets combining addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division on one sheet, with an answer key.
Mixed practice forces students to read the operation sign on every problem instead of repeating one procedure — the single best warm-up format for reviews and test prep. Three levels scale from numbers within 20 up to 3-digit addition and subtraction with full fact multiplication and division.
A mix of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division on one sheet — good for reviews and warm-ups.

The formula
Each problem is one of a + b, a - b (a >= b), a x b, or a / b where b divides a exactly — all four operations appear on every sheet.
Worked example
One level-2 sheet might open with 58 + 37 = 95, then 36 / 4 = 9, then 14 x 6 = 84 — the operation changes on every line, so students must check each sign.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why mix operations on one sheet?
Blocked practice (20 additions in a row) lets students stop reading the sign. Mixed sheets keep all four skills warm and reveal which operation a student actually struggles with, which is why teachers use them for warm-ups and spiral review.
Are the answers ever negative or fractional?
No. Subtraction problems are ordered so answers stay at zero or above, and division problems are built from divisor x quotient pairs so they always divide evenly. The challenge is choosing the right operation, not new number types.
Which level should I pick?
Level 1 (numbers to 20, gentler division) suits grades 2-3. Level 2 (2-digit adding and subtracting, facts to 12) suits grades 3-4. Level 3 (3-digit adding and subtracting, 2-digit by 1-digit multiplication) suits grades 4-5.
How do I print the answer key?
Tick "Answer key" and print — answers appear beside every problem on the same layout. Print a key copy first, then untick for student copies of the identical sheet.
